From defects to actual completion

Installed does not necessarily mean complete. Defects, rectification and handover make completion explicit.

Operations/Completion/6 min/JoinOS

Installed does not necessarily mean complete. Completion becomes real when defects, rectification and handover are explicit.

Installation changes what becomes possible next. It does not close the job by itself. Open defects, return work, follow-on works and final checks still sit between fitted and finished.

Fitted ≠ finished · Defect open · Handover locked

When completion is explicit, the business can hand over with confidence. When it is assumed, unfinished work hides inside a job that looks done.

Operational principle

This is why JoinOS keeps handover locked until defects and dependent work are explicitly complete — installed is not the same as finished.
